About

Created for, by, and with young people, the Radio Station Angrignon project acts as a tool for prevention and awareness by addressing various issues affecting youth and families, while highlighting the resources and activities available in the Ville-Émard/Côte Saint-Paul neighborhood. Indeed, the hosts and young people behind RSA aim to raise awareness among the targeted population on topics that concern them, adopting an approach centered on their active participation. The main goal of RSA is to reach a greater number of isolated and vulnerable families, offering them the opportunity to benefit from the services and opportunities available to them. This platform also helps to better promote the local resources available in the neighborhood, thus fostering harmonious living and positive intercultural relationships in the Trinitaires HLM park. At the heart of RSA is the idea of strengthening the cognitive and social abilities of young people. By providing a platform for expression and exchange, the project encourages their active participation, promoting the development of their skills and self-esteem. By also equipping parents, RSA ensures essential family support to promote the overall development of young people. To realize this ambitious project, funding has been obtained from various organizations committed to the well-being and development of youth. Among them are the support of the South-West Montreal School Perseverance Action Group (CAPSSOM), the Quebec Youth Secretariat, the South-West borough, and Employment and Social Development Canada as part of the Canada Summer Jobs program. RSA addresses different themes that closely affect the lives of young people and their development. These include integration and isolation, employment and career guidance, fatherhood, diversity and First Nations, physical activity, anxiety, healthy eating, and involvement through volunteering. By addressing these topics in an interactive and participatory manner, RSA aims to spark reflection, provide useful information, and encourage positive actions within the community. In summary, Radio Station Angrignon is an innovative project that places young people at the heart of its action. Through this participatory approach, Radio Station Angrignon (RSA) seeks to strengthen the social fabric of the neighborhood, create strong intergenerational bonds, and promote the overall and harmonious development of youth, while highlighting local resources and opportunities.
